We are pleased to announce that we have strengthened our Investment Banking Division with the recent hiring of Edouard Bergis, who joins us as Managing Director, Product & Client Solutions, based in our Hong Kong office.

Prior to joining CIGP, Edouard worked for nearly two decades at J.P. Morgan, in the Investment Banking division. For the past 7 years, Edouard has been based in Hong Kong, where he led the APAC Credit team covering Institutional Clients in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and the U.K, investing in Asia Credit Bonds, China High Yield and Private Credit strategies.

Before moving to Hong Kong, Edouard spent over 10 years in JP Morgan's Hedge Fund sales team in London, where he covered Continental European clients, focusing on investment, arbitrage and hedging strategies in the Credit Derivative universe. Before London, he was based in Paris where he developed the client franchise covering the major French banks, helping them invest and hedge their positions in the Credit market using derivatives and correlation products.

Prior to joining J.P Morgan, Edouard worked for over 3 years at Credit Suisse First Boston in both New York and London in the Fixed Income & Derivative Sales Department, covering European and Swiss based Private Banks as well as Retail Clients in their Fixed Income trade execution team.

Edouard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from Paris-Sorbonne University. Edouard graduated from the European School of Business Management with a Bachelor in Management (Diplômes des Grandes Ecoles - Paris) and has a Masters degree in European Management from City University (London). Edouard has a Diplom-Kaufmann (MBA – Berlin University). He is a Licensed Representative registered with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.

Edouard is fluent in French and English and is proficient in German and Spanish.
